From former students to distinguished colleagues, the event was filled with shared stories of his mentorship, his wit, and his unwavering commitment to academic excellence. As we look at these moments captured during the ceremony, we are reminded that while a great teacher may pass, the flame they lit in others never fades.

His remarkable contributions to generations of students and colleagues, and his unwavering dedication to the pursuit of knowledge, have left an enduring mark on our academic community.
Prof. Karunaratne’s passion for learning and his kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
